About
The latest addition to the family of Hotel du Vin
luxury and boutique hotels opened in Edinburgh in January 2009,
situated in Bristo Place in Edinburgh's Old Town.
The project consisted of refurbishment
and restoration of a series of derelict buildings and a new build
in the adjacent gap site. Stone Engineering was appointed to
construct the masonry works for the new building which required
stone cladding of the highest standard along with complex
restoration works to the existing buildings.

Outcome
Working closely with the project architect and contract team at
Thomas Johnstone, Stone Engineering completed the works on time and
within the client's budget ensuring a high degree of satisfaction
with the completed project. Capitalising on the unique historical
character of the buildings, Hotel du Vin now has a truly unique
addition to their portfolio.
