Land Engineering was awarded the External Hard Landscaping Works Package at the new Silverburn Shopping Centre, Glasgow.
Activities
- The works involved the formation of all external hard landscaped areas to the perimeter of the shopping centre, including footpaths and entrance features pedestrian areas with associated street lighting.
- The project included groundworks, drainage and ducting, surfacing and the supplying and laying of both man-made precast paving and natural granite paving finished to the highest quality
- Stainless Steel and Granite street furniture completed the works
Outcome
We were involved in the redesign of the pavement construction to ensure a surface with performance criteria to match future maintenance provision. This delivered a value engineered solution to lifecycle maintenance costs.
