The works included the construction of a new walkway along the top of a 400 m section of the existing quay wall and the creation of an open parkland space in front of the new development, all as part of the first phase of the Glasgow Harbour Project.
The finished walkway surface is composed of 3.3 m wide flame textured granite slabs with reclaimed whin setts to both sides. An 850 mm wide band infill on the area adjacent to the existing cope stone and a wider section of setts nearest the development, incorporates the tree pits, seating areas and lighting details.
The parkland is composed of several themed areas with various planting schemes, seating and play areas linked together by footpath and white concrete edging walls.
